I found this SUGAR COOKIE recipe online… And it worked perfectly. You don’t have to chill the dough before rolling out to cut. You can do that right away! Thought I’d share the recipe to the easiest thing I’ve ever baked… They are perfect for decorating!

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
- In a large stand mixer, cream softened butter and sugar together.
- Add egg and vanilla.
- Combine flour, salt, and baking soda and add to bowl and mix well. (I don’t dirty a second bowl – just toss it all into one big mixing bowl.)
- Divide dough and roll it out!
- Cut into shapes.
- Bake at 375 on cookie sheet (lightly sprayed with cooking spray or on parchment) for about 8 to 10 minutes.
